Local Attractions in and around BTN

Some of the outstanding assets of the neighborhood are as follows…

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, the world’s largest, is located just south of BTN at 3oth and Meridian Streets (entrance is off of Illinois Street).

Crown Hill Cemetery, the resting place of many famous (and infamous) Hoosiers.

The Indianapolis Museum of Art at 38th and Michigan Road is just a short walk away.

Indiana State Fairgrounds, home of the Indiana State Fair and the Pepsi Coliseum.

The Monon Trail recreational trail is reachable just south of the Indiana State Fairgrounds near the Watson Bird Sanctuary.

The Central Canal Towpath, another recreational trail which intersects with the Monon Trail and weaves through Butler University and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

The Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana often features tours of historic neighborhoods and other events of interest.
