WORK ON BROAD RIPPLE PROJECT BRINGS ROAD CLOSURE
INDIANAPOLIS – As work progresses on the Broad Ripple Avenue Project
from College to Keystone, the Indianapolis Department of Public Works
(DPW) needs to close Evanston Avenue, north and south of Broad Ripple
Avenue. This closure will enable workers to rebuild and realign the
intersection of Broad Ripple and Evanston Avenues, one of the main
reasons for this project.
Evanston Avenue, north of Broad Ripple Avenue to 65th Street and south
of Broad Ripple Avenue to 61st Street, will be closed.
Local access to businesses and homes will be maintained.
On or after September 18 for approximately 40 days (mid-November)
The Broad Ripple Avenue Project from College to Keystone is
federally funded and is expected to cost between $2 million and $3
million. The project consists of minor road widening, the installation
of some turn lanes, curb and sidewalk work, traffic signal work, the
realignment of Broad Ripple and Evanston Avenues, and resurfacing. Work
