KIBI Adopt-A-Block Program

In partnership with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIBI), BTN would like to invite our residents to consider adopting a block in our neighborhood!

The program is designed to:

1. Empower: Bring beautification and neighborhood revitalization down to the smallest unit, your own block!
2. Energize: Provide an opportunity for neighborhood volunteers to participate in community activities.
3. Establish: Build capacity for neighborhoods to create vital, beautiful green-spaces!

As a BLOCK COORDINATOR you would bring your neighbors together to set goals and organize work for beautifying your block. Neighbors are encouraged to work together to keep their block clean, whether that means daily pick up, a weekly cleanup or a monthly effort  where everyone gathers together! Coordinators should inform their block-mates about clean-up efforts and about the resources available to them through KIBI.

Tools & Resources: KIBI provides each block captain with a starter kit that includes a bucket, broom, shovel, trash bags, gloves, litter grabber and a handbook and door-hangers to spread the word! Blocks will receive additional gloves and trash bags each spring.
