Capitol Used Tire & Quick Stop at 202 W. 38th Street has long been a source of blight in the community. It has received zoning violations nearly every year for the past decade. The most recent violations require a variance to remedy. Recently, the Butler Tarkington Neighborhood Association voted to oppose the request because of its impact on residential property to the north and after the property owner failed to present an adequate strategy to abate the violation.

The Board of Zoning Appeals Division I is scheduled to hear it on May 8th at 1 p.m. at the City County Building in the Public Assembly Room.
