LANE CLOSURES NEAR BUTLER: With construction efforts on the multi-purpose parking facility at Butler University  in full swing, preparation underway for the new residence hall construction, and the final phases of the Sunset Avenue Streetscape project ready to restart, BTNA wanted to alert you to the upcoming lane closures, which will impact traffic patterns around campus this spring.

The southbound lane of Sunset Avenue will close Monday, March 16, and remain closed for approximately 2 weeks.

Upon completion, the southbound lane will re-open and the northbound lane of Sunset will close. Work on the northbound lane will continue for approximately 3 weeks.

Once the northbound lane work has been completed, Sunset will re-open in both directions and 46th Street east of Sunset will be closed for approximately 2 weeks.

This schedule is subject to change based on weather and thus exact dates for closures and re-openings have not been provided at this time. Please watch The Connection for further updates.

During these closures and throughout campus construction efforts Butler University has informed their faculty, staff and students to please follow posted detour routes — specifically noting that the use of side streets is restricted to local traffic and Butler-Tarkington neighborhood residents only!
