Floodwall Update: Open House 11/29/11

From the Indianapolis DPW:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and the Indianapolis Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold an open house to share the details on the upcoming construction contract to make minor alterations to the Warfleigh Levee floodwall. The modifications are necessary because of changes in design standards. Corps and City staff will be available to answer questions during the open house.

Floodwall Update

An update on the floodwall project from BTNA president Neil Bloede:

The USACE has decided to re-evaluate the floodwall design and look at options that include protecting Rocky Ripple. Attached is the notice that can be found in the Federal Register. The USACE recognize that their original Environmental Impact Statement was insufficient and now they will conduct a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement.
