BTNA is pleased to announce that Congressman Andre Carson will speak at a special neighborhood forum set for 7:00 pm on August 24th at the Martin Luther King Community Center (MLKCC). BTNA and MLKCC ask that meeting attendees bring a donation for the MLKCCs food bank. Please check back for to our web site for more information and updates. ![]() Carson to Speak in BTN on 8-24-09 There has been a great deal of discussion recently about the CIB and how it will ultimately impact the state budget and local arts groups. Join BTNA for our annual “all neighborhood” meeting and hear direcly from state lawmakers on what they think should be done about the CIB and many other issues. BTNA welcomes State Senator Greg Taylor and State Representative Cindy Noe on June 8 at 7:00 at the Martin Luther King Community Center (40th and IL). During this meeting the BTNA Board will review our 2009 priorities, listen to neighborhood concerns, and discuss the results (to-date) of the 2009 Legislature. BTNA welcomes and encourages all our neighbors and friends to attend. The May BTNA Business meeting is set for May 11, 2009 at the MLK Community Center at 7:00 PM. The agenda is attached.
