BTNA Annual Meeting on Monday, 10/11!

Don’t forget our next BTNA meeting is on Monday, October 11, 7:00 pm.  The meeting will be held at the Martin Luther King Community Center, which is located at 40 W. 40th Street.

The history of the Butler-Tarkington Neighborhood Association (BTNA) is one of unity, cooperation and success – and now the story is being told in a new documentary called “BTNA – The Early Years,” which will debut at the meeting.

The documentary was filmed over the past three years and includes research of BTNA and other records and interviews with current and former residents. Former BTNA president John Barth was part of the project team with documentary filmmaker Todd Lothery,  and they interviewed people including former BTNA presidents, faith-based leaders, historians and current and former residents about the history of the  Butler-Tarkington neighborhood.

The BTNA board welcomes everyone interested in the history of  Indianapolis to its Annual Meeting to view the documentary and discuss  the importance of the neighborhood’s history.
