Butler University Plans Tourney Activities for Campus and Indianapolis Community
INDIANAPOLIS – The following events are planned for Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2, on the Butler University campus. All events are free and open to the public.
Note: There is no rally planned for Wednesday, March 29 at 2:30 p.m. on the Butler campus.

Featuring Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Butler President Bobby Fong, mascot Hink, Butler giveaways, and music provided by Indianapolis’ own Zanna-Doo.
Saturday, April 2
Bulldogs Dancing in the Streets Fair
4-5:30 p.m.

Featuring face painting, fair games, food (some free, some for purchase), music and Butler giveaways.
Community Viewing Party at Hinkle Fieldhouse
Doors open at 5 p.m.; 6 p.m. game tip-off

Due to NCAA regulations, concessions will not be available, but guests are welcome to bring in food and drink. No alcohol, no glass and no pets allowed. Bags will be checked upon arrival.
*A Hinkle Viewing Party will be scheduled for Monday, April 4, if Butler plays in the championship game.

The Army Corp of Engineers has completed their Environmental Assessment (EA) for Phase 3b of the White River Flood Reduction Plan. There has been a material change from the previous proposal two years ago. The floodwall is no longer planned for the towpath side of the canal. The new plan calls for a flood wall as high as 6 ft running along Westfield Blvd from Capitol Ave west to Butler. In addition, the floodwall requires a 15 ft root-free zone. Therefore, there will be a 30 ft wide clearing of trees along this path.
