Pharmacy and physician assistant students in Butler University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) will hold a free community-wide Health Screening Fair Saturday, March 29 in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences building, 4600 Sunset Ave., Indianapolis. Patients will be received starting at 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
This is the sixth year COPHS students have hosted the event.
The fair will include the following screenings: fasting cholesterol panel, fasting blood sugar, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI) and bone density. Attendees can also get suggestions for healthy diet options and exercise recommendations.
People wanting a cholesterol or blood sugar screen should fast 10 to 12 hours prior to coming to campus. All screenings are for people 18 years of age or older.
Licensed pharmacists will be on hand to counsel attendees about their test results and answer questions about specific medications.
