Neighbors and Friends,

BTNA believes that our neighborhood’s efforts to resist IFD’s plan to close IFD Station 16 have made a BIG difference and that the plan is still under review by the Mayor’s office.  We STRONGLY encourage everyone to contact the Mayor’s office and let them know that you want to keep our first responders in our neighborhood and see Station 16 kept open!  If you have already called or emailed, please do so AGAIN!  If you haven’t, now is the time.  You can phone the Mayor’s office at (317) 327-3601 or contact them online here.
ALSO, BTNA is organizing a gathering at Station 16 to give the neighborhood another opportunity to show their support for the fire station and the firefighters who work there.  Please join us at IFD Station 16, located at 56th and Illinois Streets, next Thursday, April 28th, at 6:30 p.m.  We will bring dinner to the firefighters and thank them for their service.  Come stand with your neighbors and help show that Butler-Tarkington cares about its fire station!
Thanks to everyone who has helped fight to keep Butler-Tarkington safe.  Again, please contact the Mayor’s office, and we hope to see everyone next Thursday!
