BTNA invites you to show your support for keeping IFD Station 16 open and our first responders right here in Butler-Tarkington by gathering at Station 16, located at 56th and Illinois, this Thursday, April 28th, at 6:30 p.m.  Please help us send a message loud and clear that we do not want our neighborhood station to close and our fire engine moved to Broad Ripple!
Right at 6:30, local businesses The Illinois Street Food Emporium and Byrne’s Grilled Pizza will thank the firefighters with dinner they prepared.  The Food Emporium will also have cookies and water available for the attendees.  The first 100 people to join us will receive a button you can sport to show your support to #SaveStation16!  We also hear that Blue III will be making an appearance at the event!  21st Amendment has agreed to let attendees utilize their lot to the east of their building for parking (about 25 spots), so it pays to come early!
One note – the weather for Thursday is iffy right now.  Please watch for additional correspondence and follow BTNA on our website ( or Facebook or Twitter for up to date info.  Should the weather not cooperate, we intend to push the event to the following day (Friday the 29th) at the same time.
Neighbors, please consider attending, bringing your family, enjoying our neighborhood, and most importantly thanking our firefighters for all they do in our community.  We believe that the time is right to send a message that Station 16 must stay open!
